Uniphar Expands Global Footprint with Three New Facilities

Uniphar, a global partner for pharmaceutical and medtech manufacturers, is enhancing its international reach by opening three new facilities, strategically located in major global markets such as Raleigh, Lelystad, and Dublin. Uniphar's recent facilities enhance the company's ability to assist pharmaceutical and biotech firms more efficiently, providing all-inclusive services that span the complete product lifecycle. 

The newly established sites intend to guarantee the prompt provision of essential treatments to patients around the globe while assisting pharmaceutical firms in overcoming intricate market access obstacles, spanning from clinical trials to international product introductions.

The facility in Raleigh, North Carolina spans 65,000 sq. ft. and is a GMP & GDP compliant storage site for pharmaceuticals, equipped to manage ambient, cold-chain, and freezer storage needs. It features specialized clean rooms for clinical studies, a DEA-authorized vault for controlled substances classified as Schedule II to V, and a comprehensive Warehouse Management System for smooth operation.

In Lelystad, the G-Park Lelystad site stands as Uniphar’s premier European establishment, situated within the Lelystad Airport Business Park, a highly strategically located logistics center in Europe. This Grade A facility covers 9,000 m² and features narrow-aisle high-bay shelving, controlled temperature storage, and separate quarantine areas.

The center in Dublin, Ireland, is the latest inclusion in Uniphar’s worldwide network. Spanning 35,000 sq. m., this state-of-the-art facility aims to cater to the growing need for cold-chain logistics, featuring a cold storage capacity of 1,100 pallets. Featuring a contemporary design to enhance material movement and distinct areas for quarantine, recall, and returns handling, the Dublin facility plays a crucial role in Uniphar’s capacity to expand its operations and offerings.
