A major industry shift occurs in India because the country faces growing advancements in preventable eye diseases. TeleMedC has announced its entry into the Indian market through a strategic business agreement with AND Healthcare Solutions, which operates from its Queensland base. Through this strategic partnership, the services plan to deliver affordable eye screening with artificial intelligence capabilities across all areas of India while focusing on diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and macular disease detection.

Backed by Trade and Investment Queensland (TIQ), the collaboration underscores the growing synergy between Australia and India in health tech innovation. “Our mission at TeleMedC is to revolutionize primary eye care through AI-driven technology. By partnering with AND Healthcare Solutions, we aim to provide millions of Indians with access to early and effective diagnosis, reducing preventable blindness and enhancing healthcare outcomes,” said Dr. Jack Tan, chief medical officer, TeleMedC.

Deepak Sharma, CEO, AND Healthcare Solutions, added, “We are excited to collaborate with TeleMedC and bring its world-class AI diagnostics to India. With this partnership, we are looking forward to being a part of the transformation in India’s eye-care industry.”

This program seeks to assess one billion eyes in the upcoming ten years while also enhancing India’s healthcare innovation landscape—prioritizing accessibility, cost-effectiveness, and chronic illness management for an increasingly aging demographic.
