Roche Diabetes Care's Accu-Chek meters now Made in India to Strengthen Market Presence

Roche Diabetes Care India (RDC India) stated that the 'Accu-Chek Active' blood glucose monitoring device is now manufactured in India. In partnership with their manufacturing partner Sanmina-SCI India and assembly and distribution partner Parekh Integrated Services, this move is part of the company's objective to improve access to diabetes care and address the rising needs of the Indian market. Accu-Chek Active metres will be manufactured in Sanmina's cutting-edge multi-client manufacturing facility in Chennai, India, in accordance with the brand's globally recognised quality standards.

The 'Made in India' label will now be proudly displayed on the new Accu-Chek Active product packets. With the choice to manufacture these goods in India, RDC India hopes to minimise the time to market for Accu-Chek Active metres, making them more accessible to the country's expanding number of diabetics. At the same time, this action will assist RDC India in contributing to global sustainability goals by minimising their carbon footprint in comparison to imports.
