MNC Pharma Body OPPI Names Anil Matai as Director General

Anil Matai was named director general of the Organisation of Pharmaceutical Producers of India (OPPI), the industry group that represents worldwide multinational (MNC) pharmaceutical corporations, on Monday. Anil Matai is a seasoned general management specialist who has led operations for MNCs such as Novartis India Ltd, GSK India, and Global Pharma, Dubai. Anil worked as a senior advisor - Life Sciences at IQVIA Consulting and Information Services India Pvt. Ltd. after retiring as managing director of Zydus Healthcare, and most recently as an operating partner at Jashvik Capital, a mid-market private equity fund focused on healthcare and consumer sectors, as per economic time.

Anil has been on the boards of several companies, including Zydus Healthcare Ltd., Bayer Zydus Pharma Private Ltd.,Novart is Healthcare Private Ltd.,and Biochem Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.
