Karnataka Govt Promotes KWIN City as Investment Hub for Medical Aesthetics

Karnataka is becoming an important hub for investments in the fields of dermatology and cosmetic medical treatments, as the state government emphasizes prospects in the forthcoming KWIN City initiative. The Minister of Large and Medium Industries, M B Patil, highlighted the state’s dominance in medical manufacturing, pointing out that Karnataka now manufactures 350 essential medical devices.

Addressing the Bharat Summit of Laser Medicine and Surgery (BSLMS) in Whitefield, Patil emphasized Karnataka's forefront position in medical IT solutions, PCR machines, heart stents, insulin pens, and various other critical devices. He emphasized the increasing evolution in medical devices, digital health, and diagnostics, propelled by state-owned companies advancing technology.

“Karnataka has taken a lead in manufacturing medical IT solutions, PCR machines, stents for heart treatments, insulin pens, and other essential medical devices,” said Patil, reinforcing the state's commitment to innovation.

The research environment of Karnataka aims to improve by establishing a strong system of engineering and medical college institutions. Patil emphasized that providing affordable healthcare combined with prompt service delivery would help increase sectoral confidence.

Key medical professionals, including Dr. Arun Inamdar from BM Patil Medical College, joined Dr. BS Chandrashekar from Cutis Groups as they brought attention to how Karnataka develops medical research and innovation aspects for the future.
