Belgium-based Quantoom Biosciences (Quantoom) and TechInvention Lifecare Pvt. Ltd. (TechInvention) have launched a strategic partnership. In the presence of Her Royal Highness Princess Astrid of Belgium, business executives, and important stakeholders from both countries, the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was formally signed during the Belgian Economic Mission to India.
TechInvention is bringing Quantoom's state-of-the-art RNA manufacturing solutions, with an emphasis on affordability, scalability, and accessibility, to India as part of this partnership. The goal of this cutting-edge technology suite is to expedite and de-risk the creation of RNA-based vaccinations.
In addition, TechInvention will use its regulatory expertise, translational research experience, and GMP manufacturing capabilities to expedite the development, scaling, and commercialization of innovative RNA-based products. With the establishment of end-to-end mRNA production capabilities at TechInvention's soon-to-be EU-GMP-approved facility, the Global Collaborative Centre for Medical Countermeasures (GCMC), in Mumbai, this collaboration marks a revolutionary turning point in India's biotechnology scene.
This partnership encompasses animal and environmental health in addition to human health using a One Health concept. The technology integrates modular, low-carbon-footprint mRNA systems that help global decarbonization initiatives, making it environmentally sustainable. It supports global efforts to make next-generation RNA technology accessible, guaranteeing that low- and middle-income nations (LMICs) may take advantage of locally produced, reasonably priced, and expandable solutions.
"We are excited to bring Quantoom’s cutting-edge mRNA technology to India, revolutionizing RNA drugs development and manufacturing. This partnership is a significant step toward strengthening India’s preparedness for future pandemics while ensuring broader access to RNA-based innovations across LMICs," Syed Ahmed, director & CEO, TechInvention, said.
