According to an official statement, the government has begun offering in-house chemotherapy services at 30 ESIC hospitals across the country. Union Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupender Yadav launched the chemotherapy services at the ESIC headquarters in New Delhi during the 191st meeting of the ESI Corporation. Insured workers and their dependents will be able to receive better cancer treatment with ease thanks to this service, according to a statement from the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The minister also dedicated an ESIC control room with dashboards. The dashboards will improve monitoring of ESIC hospitals' resources and beds, as well as the current status of ongoing construction projects, among other things. During the meeting, the minister also approved the establishment of 15 new ESIC hospitals, 78 ESIC dispensaries, and an increase in bed strength at the ESIC Hospital in Beltola, Assam, the ESIC Medical College & Hospital in K. K. Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and the ESIC Medical College & Hospital in Faridabad, Haryana.
