Eli Lilly to Establish Global Capability Center in Hyderabad

US pharmaceutical giant Eli Lilly and Company announced that it intends to set up a new global capability center in Hyderabad. The organization plans to hire over 1,000 to 1,500 highly skilled individuals, including technology engineers and data scientists. Hiring for the new facility is currently in progress, and the center is anticipated to be functioning by the middle of 2025.

“The Hyderabad centre will be known as Lilly Capability Centre India (LCCI) Hyderabad and will initially focus on expanding Lilly’s capabilities in automation, artificial intelligence, software product engineering and cloud computing to deliver advanced technology solutions that meet the evolving needs of Lilly’s business worldwide,” the company said.

LCCI Hyderabad will be Lilly's second centre of capabilities in India. The previous one located in Bengaluru was initiated in 2016.

“Our teams in India play a pivotal role in driving Lilly’s global business support with centralized, scalable solutions. LCCI Hyderabad will enhance our technical capabilities, enabling us to better meet growing business demands, fully leverage technology in our operations, and further expand our presence in India,” said Manish Arora, Managing Director, LCCI Hyderabad.

LCCI Hyderabad aims to enhance Lilly’s innovation and efficiency by harnessing new technological developments and utilizing data insights, speeding up the provision of next-generation medicines to patients globally.
