To ease the process of pharma exports and facilitate the transmission of pharma exporting goods, the Union Ministry of Communications has launched the Dak Ghar Niryat Kendra (DNK) portal for commercial customers or MSMEs to export goods seamlessly to various countries. DNK is a carefully curated portal for business customers or MSMEs throughout the country that assists them in achieving "Exports Made Easy." This will save money on third-party software used to generate invoices and Postal Bills of Export (PBE), among other things. It is a time-saving solution. Exporters can complete all of their work from home, and article induction takes less time.
The cost of printing barcodes can be lowered. It would also ensure that Customs House Agent (CHA) expenses are lowered. This customer portal has a tracking feature. Customs queries about the cargo can be answered at his/her leisure via the DNK portal. It also makes GST returns easier to file using the available electronically generated PBE documentation. DNK ensures paperless documentation and eliminates the need for KYC each time a shipment is booked. It ensures digital customs clearance, system generated invoices, CN22 or CN23, PBE Forms, online barcode generation, visibility and transparency in financial transactions, support in creating IEC, AD, GSTIN, and LuT papers, and uploading them to the DNK portal. It provides a volume discount and a pickup service.
Any exporter holding a valid Import-Export Code shall be permitted to export goods by filing a PBE in the form prescribed under the “Export by Post Regulations 2018”. The procedures of filling and filing the PBE forms have been detailed by customs through notifications. The export can be done by using a bouquet of products like registered packets (2 kg), air parcels for consignments weighing upto 20 kg, International Tracked Packet for select destination and EMS- Speed Post for consignment weighing upto 35 kg. In the case of natural persons (i.e. other than firms and companies) exporting parcels, there is no change in procedure being followed hitherto. It is clarified that they will not be required to file any PBE.
