 Life Sciences Hub

The Indo-French Life Sciences Sister Hub Innovations are being established under the aegis of the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) and PariSanté Campus with the collaboration of the French digital Health Innovation Cluster under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.

The purpose of this joint initiative is to address important challenges in health and healthcare through One Health and digital health strategies involving transnational innovation solutions.

“We are delighted to have our Letter of Intent (LOI) with PariSanté Campus to be formalised by the highest leadership of the two countries. This clearly indicates the urgency of intent between the two countries to improve the quality and delivery of healthcare for the larger society. The partnership’s first goal would be to galvanise global networks of excellence and leverage mutual ecosystems to support researchers and innovators developing cutting-edge solutions from one geography to the other. C-CAMP and PariSanté Campus will play the central role in enabling this", said Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, Director & CEO, C-CAMP.

This aims at strengthening ties between the two hubs so as to promote ecosystems of science and technology entrepreneurship and collaboration across research, academia, and industry.

During the Paris AI Summit, Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Emmanuel Macron from both countries came together to announce the beginning of this collaboration.

The Memorandum of Understanding formally signed on 10 February by Dr. Taslimarif Saiyed, CEO of C-CAMP, and Pr. Antoine Tesnière, Director of PariSanté Campus. The first projects coming under this cooperation are to be unveiled in the near future. This will be a testimony to the burgeoning Indo-French collaboration in addressing health challenges for the UN-SDGs.

"The Letter of Intent between C-CAMP and PariSanté Campus for Indo-French Life Sciences Sister Innovation Hub will bring together the best of innovation hubs from our two countries to work together on two very important areas: One Health and Digital health. This partnership will pave the way for groundbreaking innovations. Indeed, the French government that I represent is very proud to see the emergence of such a collaboration, and we will keep on supporting the scientific and academic cooperation between our two countries", Mark Lamy, The Consul General of France.
