Bristol Myers Squibb has established a new facility in Hyderabad. The new global site will expand the company's drug development, IT, and digital capabilities and is expected to employ more than 1,500 people.
The new site will expand Bristol Myers Squibb's locations worldwide and be a strength motor for innovation. With the Hub, the company is writing the next chapter in its history. The company has invested over $100 million to construct this new facility.
The facility was inaugurated in the presence of D Sridhar Babu, Minister for Industries and Information Technology, Telangana. Dr. Christopher Boerner, CEO of Bristol Myers Squibb, Greg Meyers, Chief Digital & Technology Officer, and Bristol Myers Squibb's global and Hyderabad leadership team members attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Minister Babu said, “Bristol Myers in Hyderabad. The Squibb site is an important brand and an investment in our vibrant community, providing opportunities for its large talent pool to work at the forefront of science and innovation. A strategic alliance with Bristol Myers Squibb will provide Telangana with new R&D and IT skills.We look forward to continued collaboration.
Dr Boerner said, "Our new office in Hyderabad will accelerate drug development and strengthen our digital capabilities. This investment will enable us to transform our global workforce by adding global talent and strengthening our capacity to benefit patients everywhere."
