The four Ramesh Hospitals in Andhra Pradesh have been successfully rebranded by Aster DM Healthcare, one of the major integrated healthcare service providers in the GCC and India. Two of the four hospitals are in Vijaywada, one in Guntur, and one in Ongole. Aster Ramesh Hospitals will now be used to refer to all of the hospitals. With this, Aster has increased its capacity by 7,101 beds, bringing its total bed capacity in India to 4,317. Aster had agreed into a hospital operation and management agreement (O&M) with G. Madegowda Super Specialty Hospital in Mandya, Karnataka, and Narayanadri Hospitals and Research Institute (NHRI) in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh in the preceding fiscal year.
Aster now operates 17 hospitals in India, has over 250 pharmacies, 2 reference laboratories, 20 satellite labs, 2 CPEC, and 176 FPEC, and is expanding its presence and impact in the Indian healthcare scene. "The rebranding is in line with our commitment to our India business and growth plans to make quality healthcare easily affordable and accessible for our patients in India," said Dr Azad Moopen, founder chairman and managing director of Aster DM Healthcare. Dr. Moopen's family has raised their interest in Aster DM Healthcare by 4% to 41.88% with an extra Rs. 460 crore investment.
