Aptar Digital Health, a global leader in software as a medical device (SaMD), digital Patient Support Programmes (PSPs), and disease management solutions, has announced a new collaboration with Legit.Health, a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI)-based medical device (CE-marked) software company that aims to transform patient care and increase patient adherence to better manage skin conditions.
The collaboration will integrate Legit.Health's innovative technology into Aptar Digital Health’s proprietary digital health platform to better manage and treat skin conditions, as per pharmabiz.
Legit.Health's cutting-edge technology, which aids in the detection of over 300 illnesses such as atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and skin cancer, will be included into Aptar's Digital Health exclusive platform. With the goal of improving patient care and boosting patient autonomy, this innovative digital solution will help healthcare professionals (HCPs) diagnose skin diseases early and allow patients to begin treatment regimens sooner, improving their overall quality of life. The approach might potentially be used to help patients enroll in clinical studies.
This collaboration will use Legit.Health's application of AI for disease progression tracking using automated, scientifically validated scoring systems such as the Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI) and SCORing Atopic Dermatitis (SCORAD). This will help to guarantee that patients receive the most accurate and timely information to better monitor and treat their skin disease. The AI-powered technology also quantifies the intensity, count, and extent of observable clinical indications of skin disorders, providing HCPs with a more precise estimate of disease severity, which is considered crucial in identifying the best treatment.
This strategic alliance is expected to accelerate digital transformation in the healthcare sector. Aptar Digital Health and Legit.Health's combined expertise will pave the road for utilizing the potential of AI to improve patient experiences and outcomes in immuno-dermatology.
