Catering to this industry since 2004 with its pioneer operators in supply chain management is Micropark Logistics. Headquartered in Nagpur, the company is in the business of distribution of pharmaceutical and consumer goods products, warehousing, C&F agencies, and automobile dealership. Hemang Parikh, Managing Director at Micropark Logistics in an exclusive interview with Pharma Industry Outlook gives us an in-depth inside of the company. Let’s hear from him.

Give us an overview of your company.

We would like to introduce ourselves as one of the pioneer operators in the business of Distribution, Warehousing, and C & F agencies, which is now a very vital component of the entire supply chain management. Our company started its C & F operations in Nagpur in 1984 with a prestigious multinational company, SMITHKLINE BEECHAM. Then Roche India and Ranbaxy Labs were added in our early days. Since then, we have grown strength to strength and honed our skills to become a very process-driven organization, providing efficient services to around 50 companies of high repute. This includes names like Pfizer, Sun Pharma, Torrent, Glenmark, Zydus Cadila, Himalaya, Lupin, Alembic, Indoco Remedies, Centaur, Emami, Amway, and many other reputed companies. Needless to mention, we are one of the first organizations in central India to have been provided ISO 9000:2001 certification, informed Hitesh Parikh, Director.

Tell us about Micropark’s state-of-the-art Infrastructure.

Our warehouses are built with some of the best world-class facilities. We have transformed ourselves to be a multi-locational IT-savvy organization having facilities at Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Delhi NCR, Lucknow, Varanasi, Bangalore, Chennai, Zirakpur, and Indore. We have state of an art facility at Nagpur on Mumbai National Highway with a total carpet area of 1,50,000 sq ft. We are building 3 lak sq ft warehouse at Lonad-nasik Road, Mumbai. This will be AA class, as per GWP standards. Material movement, manpower movement is designed by India’s top warehousing consultant. All our warehouses are equipped with Air Conditioned areas and cold rooms. Besides we have office areas with facilities of a Training Room, Conference Room, Meeting rooms, Staff Canteen, and many more. We have a special focus on safety and green energy. All warehouses are equipped with FIRE HYDRANT systems, Smoke detectors. We have also started installing solar panels in our warehouses.

Throw some light on the services offered by Micropark Logistics.

We provide services like State C&F and also handle Central Warehouse (pan India Operations) for some clients. We also provide handling of the sample and promotional material required by the Company’s field force. We facilitate the entire O2C (Order to Cash) cycle of our clients. This includes order processing, payment collections, claims settlement-Reverse Logistics, Audits, and MIS. We have our comprehensive SOP for each function and all activities are performed in time bound manner. One of the best services that clients have appreciated over the years is our customer-first approach. Customers are the core of all our offerings and we ensure they remain satisfied. Our entire organization works for and facilitates customer satisfaction. We do Customer Satisfaction Surveys and feedback is taken from each party. The same is analyzed through software and shortcomings are corrected immediately.

What is the future roadmap for your Company?

We hope to continually expand organically in the future too by providing clients with the service they require regardless of the location. Alongside this, we are also upgrading the infrastructure by expanding the warehouse and facilitating quality service by welcoming modern facilities such as refrigerated trucks for medicines to be transported at controlled temperatures. Micropark is also on its mission to revolutionize pharmaceutical logistics in tier 2 and tier 3 cities in the years to come.

We are transforming ourselves as TECH DRIVEN SUPPLY CHAIN COMPANY. We are investing in technology that will give real-time updates to our customers and clients about various activities.
